Tan & Wahab opened its doors in 2009, when Marcus Tan left a large international practice with a simple conviction: that growing businesses in Singapore deserved senior legal attention without the machinery — and the invoices — of a big firm.

Nearly two decades on, that conviction still runs the place. We have stayed deliberately small. Our partners take on fewer matters and know them better. We have acted for clients through their first commercial contract, their Series A, their first difficult dispute, and the eventual sale of the company — and often through the next venture after that.

We are not the right firm for everyone. If you want a name on a tower and an army of associates, there are excellent firms for that. If you want a lawyer who picks up the phone and tells you what they really think, you are in the right place.
