Milestones
The road so far.
From the first plastic caught at sea to a fleet across three continents — each step, backed by data.
- 2019
First plastic caught at sea
After years of modelling and iteration, the first prototype retains and holds ocean plastic in the North Pacific.

- 2020
Rivers program launches
The first Interceptors are deployed, catching plastic at the source in two of the most-polluting rivers.

- 2021
Proven at scale
A redesigned system demonstrates sustained, predictable collection across a full open-ocean season.

- 2022
1 million kg removed
Combined ocean and river operations cross their first million kilograms of plastic removed.

- 2023
Certified recycled material
Ocean plastic is turned into fully traceable, third-party-certified recycled material for the first time.
